Setting breakpoints

Click Breakpoints to access the Breakpoint Configuration form. You can set breakpoints for specific steps in activities.

To set breakpoints in an activity:

  1. Use the Class Name list to select an Applies To class. Wait until the list displays in the window.
  2. Select an activity in this class.
  3. Complete the Where to Break field. Select the step before which you want processing to pause.
  4. Click Set Break. The form changes list the added breakpoint.

When a breakpoint is set for the activity, when you (or the selected requestor connection) starts this activity, the Tracer window acquires focus.

To resume processing after a break, click Continue in the Tracer. If you don't resume processing for an hour after a break, processing resumes automatically.

Note: You cannot review the clipboard when processing has reached a breakpoint, as the requestor being traced is paused.

To remove a set breakpoint, in the Breakpoint Configuration form, select the Remove check box and click Remove.
