Modifying a custom field

Associating custom fields with rules provides a flexible way to supplement your application with metadata, such as a change order number or log file attachment.

To modify a custom field, do the following.

  1. Click the History tab of a rule form.
  2. Click any row of Type Text to make the Value column available for editing.
  3. Enter new text or click the Open icon to select a value previously applied to this property.
  4. Delete any row to remove a custom field.

Removing a row of Type File does not automatically delete the corresponding Rule-File-Binary instance.
