Analyzing and configuring predictors

Review the data and confirm the initial treatment of predictors.

1. Optional: In the Data analysis step, click Show groups to group predictors.
2. Click the predictor that you want to analyze.

3. Click a tab for the stage that you want to view.

   • Properties - Details the field information such as name, role, type, and description.
   • Raw distribution - Click the Graphical view tab or Tabular view tab to display each interval's raw distribution. Use it to compare the distribution of values, the behavior and robustness of predictors in the selected sample.
   • Binning - Defines the binning of predictors. The binning can be symbolic or numeric.
   • Grouping - Combines values and ranges based on the similarity of behavior of the fields.
4. Optional: If you change the field properties in any of the tabs, you can select the Use as default settings option to override the default project settings.
5. Click Submit.
6. Do one of the following actions:
   • Go to the Developing models step.
   • In case unknown behavior is captured in the data, go to the Outcome inferencing steps.
