The Optimize for mobile option for mobile repeating grid layouts disables certain configuration options to make the grid more suitable for mobile and offline use. The check box for this option is on the General tab of the repeating grid layout properties.
Mobile optimized grids support the full range of grid, row, and cell visibility options. Grid layouts visibility supports client-run expressions offline, and when rule or server-run expressions in a desktop or mobile application.
When you optimize for mobile, the only data source available is a data page or parameterized data page. Only the Page 1,2,3... pagination format is supported. Grid operations (reordering, resizing, categorizing and showing details) are disabled, and presentation options are limited to the style, container format, and width of the content. Filtering and sorting options are available.
A limited set of actions is available when the Optimize for mobile check box is selected. Supported actions are Set focus, Open work by handle, Open assignment, and Edit item.
