Checking in a rule

After you have checked out a rule, check it in to replace the base ruleset with the changes that you made. You should not check in a rule that is privately checked out to avoid overwriting changes that other users might have made to the rule.

Check in the rule by completing the following steps:
  1. Click Check in to replace the base rule with the version that is in your personal ruleset.

  2. Enter a comment that describes the changes that you made.

  1. To override the default work item that your application associates with this development change, press the Down Arrow key in the Work item to associate field, and then select a work item.

For more information about your default work item, see Setting your current work item.

  1. Click Check in . If approval is not required, your changes immediately affect rule resolution and run-time behavior for all users.
