Downloading and viewing the prconfig.xml file for a specific node

From the Configuration Settings landing page, you can download the prconfig.xml file for a current or remote node. Downloading the file is useful when you want to see whether a setting for a particular node has been overridden, or for operations administrators who do not want to use Dynamic System Settings to downloading a file and update and deploy it outside of the Configuration Settings landing page.

Note: When you use the Configuration Settings landing page to download the prconfig.xml file you can only review the configuration settings. You cannot modify the file from this landing page.

To access the Configuration Settings landing page, view the list of settings, and download the prconfig.xml file, you must have the pzSystemOperationsObserver privilege.

  1. Click Designer Studio > System > Operations > Configuration settings.
  2. In the Select node / All nodes field, select a node (either the current node or a remote node). Do not select All Nodes. The option to download the prconfig.xml file is not available for the all nodes view.
  3. Click Download prconfig to download the prconfig.xml file for the selected node.
  4. Open and review the prconfig.xml file you downloaded for the node.
