Managing requestors
Use the Requestors page in Admin Studio to monitor and debug requestor activity. The Requestors page displays summary information about the requestors in the Pega Platform: Application, Browser, Batch, and Portal types. The Requestor Management tab lists all the active requestors in a specific cluster or node.
Before you begin: To access the Requestor Management landing page, view
performance, and trace entry details, you must have the
PegaRULES:SysOpsObserver role. To perform most actions on requestors, you
must also have PegaRULES:SysOpsAdministrator role. To trace requestors and
view the clipboard, you must also have the pzDebugRemoteRequestor
privilege.
- In the navigation panel of Admin Studio, click .

Select the requestors to display.
- All nodes – Display requestors for all nodes in the cluster.
- Any node – Press the Down Arrow key and select a node for the requestor display.
- To view associate requesters, click the left arrow at the beginning of a row. You can perform all operations on associate requestors that you can perform on the main requestor.

In the Actions column, click the Actions link that corresponds
to the requestor that you want to manage, and select one of the following options.
- Performance details – Select this option to view the Performance Analyzer (PAL) statistics for the selected requestor.
- Trace – Select this option to start the Tracer tool for the selected requestor to debug errors in requestor activity.
- Terminate Trace – Select this option to stop the Tracer tool for requestors for which the tracing session was not properly closed, for example, because of network issues.
- Trace Entry Details – Select this option to view a Java stack trace of the operations performed by the selected requestor. This snapshot display is not updated in real time. Access is denied if the default security properties file is still in effect.
- View Clipboard – Select this option to open the Clipboard tool for the selected requestor to review property values that are in the clipboard.
- Analyze Clipboard – Select this option to view the estimated clipboard size in kilobytes and the size of each thread and clipboard page for the selected requestor.
- Interrupt – Select this option to interrupt the processing of the selected requestor at the beginning of the next activity step.
- Terminate – Select this option to stop the requestor, remove it from the requestor status display, and delete it from the system.
- Start Profiling / Stop Profiling – Select this option to start or stop profiling the selected requestor. After stopping the Profiler tool you can download the .csv file that contains a detailed trace of performance information for the selected requestor.
- Requestors Details – Select this option to view details for the selected requestor, including the operator name, ID, and a trace list. Set the trace/requestorlistsize prconfig setting to any value between 0 and 511 inclusive, to configure the number of trace entries that can be viewed.
