Setting up an alternative server URL for Pega Mobile Client

In the advanced settings for a custom mobile app for Pega Mobile Client, you can set up the app to connect to another instance, or to a specific Pega Platform servlet.

An alternative URL is useful when you are developing your mobile app and want to quickly connect to another instance of Pega Platform, for example, for testing purposes.

1. Navigate to the Build tab of the mobile channel interface.
2. Expand the Advanced section below the App branding section.
3. Select the Use alternative server URL check box.
4. Enter a URL address for another App Studio instance, in the following format: http://<SERVER_HOSTNAME>:<SERVER_PORT>/prweb/<SERVLET_NAME>, for example http://10.20.30.123:1080/prweb/PRWebLDAP_OAuth2.
5. Click Done.
