To connect a data
type in your application to a system of record, use the Integration Designer. The
system of record contains the data that is used by your application.

Click the Open runtime toolbar icon.

Click Turn editing on.

In the navigation panel, click Data to view the list of
current data types in your application.

Click on the data type to which you want to add a system of record.

Click the Data views tab.

On the Data views tab, click Connect to
system of record.
Note: If the data type that you selected is already connected to a system of
record, you can update or replace the existing system of record by clicking
the
More icon and selecting
Update
source or
Replace source. For more

In the System field, select the system of record to use
for the data type.

If you want to make a REST connection, follow the steps in Adding a data type by using a REST connection.

Click Save.
