Posting a message in Pulse

You can post a message in Pulse to share information, for example, the status of a case, or ask a question in a Pulse conversation thread.

The following guidance applies to case messages, however, you can communicate in other contexts, such as a team or application. For more information, see Choosing a context for Pulse messages.
  1. Open a case by searching for it or by reviewing the worklists and work queues on your dashboard.
  2. Click the Toggle pulse icon.
  3. Do one of the following actions:
    • Click Post to add a message for all the case users.
    • Click Private post to add a message for certain case users. In the field that is displayed, press the Down Arrow key and select the users for whom you want to post a message.
      Note: All the users involved in a private conversation can add more users to the conversation by referencing them, but only the owner can remove users from the conversation.
  4. Click Start a conversation and enter your message text.
  5. Optional: Enhance the format or content of your message.
  6. Click Post.
