Product migration

Use product migration to move rulesets, applications, or product archive files from Pega Platform development systems to test systems, and from test systems to pre-production systems. The source system is the system from which you migrate, and the target system is the system to which you migrate.

You can migrate rulesets, applications or products from source systems to target systems.

Note: The source system and target system must be in the same major Pega Platform version. For example, you cannot migrate if the source is in PRPC 6.x and the target is Pega 8.x.

Use the command-line utility to migrate custom applications or multiple product rules.

Use the Product Migration wizard to migrate a single product.

If you imported an application that was on an earlier version of Pega Platform, edit the application definition to include the current built on version. For more information, see Changing the built-on version of an application to the current version.
