An alternate path is a set of actions that lead your business process to a resolution
in a scenario different from a default, primary path. You create alternate paths when your
business process might result in more than one outcome. For example, in a hiring a new employee
process, a default path results in accepting a candidate. For better flexibility of your
application, create an alternate path that the case follows after rejecting a candidate. As a
result, you ensure your cases can be resolved in many dynamically changing
scenarios.
