Application rules
An application rule is the definition for your application. By managing the settings in your application rule, you can quickly make changes to the structure, dependencies, and security of your application.
You create an application rule when you run the New Application wizard. There is one application rule per application in a system. As a best practice, do not update your application rule in a production environment, because your changes affect all active user sessions immediately.
Application settings
Because the form for an application rule aggregates information from different sources, such as other forms or wizards, you do not need to manually manage all settings. The following tasks can help you make updates to the settings that are exclusive to the Application form:
- Setting your application password
- Configuring applications for reuse
- Enabling components
- Managing development branches
- Specifying a skin for your application
- Setting a content security policy
- Configuring external storage options for attachments
- Storing attachments outside the Pega Platform database
- Generating OpenAPI Specification documentation for application-specific REST APIs
