Meet Mukesh

Let’s start off by learning a bit more about your life prior to Pega. Where are you from originally and what is your educational background?
I’m originally from India where I graduated from university and then received my Master’s degree in Computer Applications. I worked at a few companies in India as a Senior Programmer before receiving the opportunity to join the HCL team. Now I’m working for HCL in Singapore with OCBC Bank. 

What motivated you to learn how to use Pega?
I had an opportunity early in my career to work on a project with the Pega development team. I found the Pega platform to be straightforward and that piqued my interest in working on application development with Pega.

How is Pega changing the organization where you work?
Pega is a prominent technology especially in the banking sector. The intuitive nature of the platform has made it accessible for developers to enhance the quality of applications without much effort. Due to the versatility of the platform, it’s easy to cater Pega to the needs of clients.

What message or advice would you give to anyone who is considering a career as a Pega Developer?
I would say that Pega is a platform that you can learn and adapt to in no time. It’s not necessary to have prior application development or coding experience in order to thrive on Pega.
