Abnormal behavior of radio buttons and check boxes (repeat grid)

Summary



In a Pega 7.4 application designed with a section containing a repeating grid layout, the section displays a list of records that contain another list in a table. When application users click the radio button in the second row, this action changes the value of the radio button in the first row.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. In a section that contains a repeating grid, include check boxes and radio buttons as its columns.
  2. At run time, inspect the markup and notice that all check boxes have the same ID. Similarly, all radio buttons share the same ID.



Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules Unique IDs are not generated for each UI control.

Resolution



Apply HFix-43976.
This hotfix works for non-template cases only.

Correction of this defect is planned for a future release.
