6.1/6.2 OCX Uninstaller does not seem to uninstall everything.

Site administrator uses 6.1 SP2 CAB installer included with the Resource Kit to install Pega controls. The installation appears successful and the controls seem to work.
But when the controls get uninstalled with the .bat script included with the Resource Kit, warnings that the uninstaller couldn’t find the following files are received:

\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\prExcelGenericTemplate.xls
\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\prExcelManagerTemplate.xls

In addition to warnings, the administrator finds that the following files are not removed:

\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\PegaOulook.inf
\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\Prdeveloper.inf
\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\prDragDrop5.ocx
\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\prImageCapture.ocx

Root Cause

The uninstaller included in the Resource Kit leaves behind several files in “…\Windows\Downloaded Program Files” folder and generates warnings because the script has not been correctly updated to match the release.

The issue is harmless. The warnings and left over files can be ignored. They will not interfere with subsequent CAB installations.
