7.1.5 Application Server Configuration for Split Schema

SA-12221

Summary

The requirement is to install PRPC7.1.5 split schema on Weblogic 11g Application Server against Oracle database. What is the correct process of installing Split Schema configuration on WebLogic Application Server? Updating the prconfig.xml with the following entries does not seem to work.

prconfig.xml
<env name="database/databases/PegaRULES/defaultSchema" value="rulesschema"/>
<env name="database/databases/PegaDATA/defaultSchema" value="dataschema"/>

Resolution

Modifying the prconfig.xml is not the right process for split schema installation on WebLogic Application Server. As stated in the installation guide, the split schema datasources entries need to be inside the WebLogic's specific deployment plan descriptor plan.xml. The procedure has been documented on page 68 in the installation guide.
