Accented character issue on Postgres DB



A record configured in the data type with data 'helló' (o - small accented character). When applying the filter from the Search text box on this column and clicking Apply, the results do not display.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a data type with some records that contain accented characters.
  2. Filter the records by applying the Filter in the Search box for accented characters. 

Root Cause

The query formed for filter condition,

The ​filter performs UPPER of the column and its value. In this case, name is converted to NAME and value as MÔRNING.
In the user scenario, the query execution does not convert 'accented o' to upper case when UPPER is performed.


Here's the explanation for the reported behavior:

Limitation or issue in the database for the support of accented characters due to the results are inconsistent.
