Access groups missing on App Creation type Pega Knowledge

A new application of Pega Knowledge type (for example, CSKM) is generated. In the process of the application creation, a list of access groups (similar to those in the out-of-the-box PegaKM 8.2 application) must generate automatically (as in the below list).

  • ExternalKMAG
  • ExternalKMUserAG
  • KMApprover
  • KMAuthor
  • KMCommunityExternalUserAG
  • KMCommunityUserAG
  • KMModeratorAG
  • KMPublisher
  • KMSysAdmin
  • PRPC:WorkManagers
  • PegaKM:JobSchedulers

However, only the below access groups are generated:

  • CSKM:Authors
  • CSKM:Users
  • CSKM:Managers
  • CSKM:Administrators

In Pega Platform 8.1.3, the below access groups related to the KM are generated. The access groups listed are different.

  • CSKM:KMSysAdmin
  • CSKM:KMPublisher
  • CSKM:JobSchedulers
  • CSKM:ExternalKMAG
  • CSKM:ExternalKMUserAG
  • CSKM:Approver
  • CSKM:Author
  • CSKM:KMCommunityExternalUserAG
  • CSKM:KMCommunityUserAG
  • CSKM:KMModeratorAG

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create an application of Pega Knowledge type and perform the below steps:
  2. Include the case type (not including the case types generates the same behavior).
  3. Do not link the data type
  4. Name the application.
  5. Click Create.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Application Generation is based on the Pega Knowledge (PegaKM) 8.2. However, all the out-of-the-box AccessGroups are still associated with PegaKM 8.

Perform the following local-change:

Modify all the out-of-the-box AccessGroups to point to PegaKM 8.2.
