Access keys on buttons are not clickable

Buttons with access keys defined (labels defined with an ampersand (&) before a letter (for example "My &Button") are not triggered if the underlined letter (the "B" in this case) is clicked.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add a button control to a section
  2. Configure the label for the button with an access key (add an ampersand before a character in the label)
  3. Click the underlined character displayed as the button label

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules causes the underlined character to not trigger click events.

Apply HFix-24355.

NOTE: This hotfix includes updates to Rule-Utility-Functions and requires the system cache to be cleared, and the effected sections or layouts revalidated and saved for the changes to take effect.
