Agent management only shows current node

SA-31900

Summary

Agent management landing page does not show agents defined on other nodes for one cluster.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Navigate to Designer Studio > Operations > Agent Management > Pick agent.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems' code or rules:
The column width for Column pyNodeID in table pr_index_data_agents is not long enough to hold a valid node ID. The pyNodeID is truncated to somelongname+ where the plus sign indicates truncation of the full text. This causes the join with pr_sys_statusnodes to fail unpredictably depending on the length of the node ID. This join is done to make sure only nodes that are up and running can be accessed to manage the agents.

Resolution

Perform any one of the following local-changes:
  • Method 1
  1. Increase the length of the column (pyNodeName in pr_index_data_agnts table.) to 64.
  2. Trunctae table pr_index_data_agents.
  3. Restart all nodes.
  4. Call RecreateIndexesForClass activity with Data-Agent-Queue as parameter.
  • Method 2
  1. Increase the length of the column to 64.
  2. Resave the data-admin-db-table records for Index-Data-Agent class.
  3. Call RecreateIndexesForClass activity with Data-Agent-Queue as parameter.
The issue is scheduled to be resolved in a future release.
