Agent node classification is not working

Agent is creating Agent Schedules for nodes that are not assigned in 'Associated with Node Types' in the Schedule tab.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create an Agent rule.
  2. Associate it with Node Type.

Root Cause

This behavior is as per Pega product design.

When the -DNodeType argument is blank or not defined, the node is considered as untyped. When a cluster is of mixed mode, that is, nodes in the cluster which are started with NodeClassification enabled (started with -DNodeType as 'BackGroundProcessing,BIX,SEARCH' , 'WebUser') and nodes with -DNodeType blank, then all the agents run on untyped nodes. On the typed nodes, only the agents which are mapped to that node classification type will run.

Perform the following local-change to stop agents from running on untyped nodes:

Disable agents on the untyped nodes in the Agent Schedule.

Or, specify the node type for all the nodes in the cluster.
