Agents do not run on every node after upgrade

SA-16470

Summary

Post upgrade from PRPC 6.2 SP2 to Pega 7.1.8, Agents do not run on some of the nodes in a multi-node environment.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Upgrade from PRPC 6.2 SP2 to Pega 7.1.8 in a multi-node environment and observe if all the Agents are running on all the nodes.

Root Cause

Agent Schedule data instances determine whether an Agent was enabled, and (on a multi-node system) on which server node that Agent will run. As Agents are not running, there is a strong possibility that these data instances got corrupt post upgrade.

Resolution

Delete the Agent Schedule instances from the affected node and restart the server.

NOTE: The Agent Schedule instances must not be created by developers – they are created only by the system.  Do not create or copy these instances.
