Alert logs display sensitive data such as JDBC credentials



Alert logs display sensitive data such as JDBC credentials configured in the Database instance (Data-Admin-DB-Name), ruleset passwords, and Email listener.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

For database credentials:

  1. Create a Data-Admin-DB-Name
  2. Select use JDBC URL listed option
  3. Update the JDBC URL, User Name & Password
  4. Save the data instance

For ruleset password:

  1. Create a Branch ruleset version
  2. Add rules and lock the RuleSetVersion (RSV)
  3. Merge the branch RSV to a new RSV version

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Apply HFix-42832.
