Asynchronous data page load hangs near peak load
The user notices several performance issues after a weekend minor application release. Users are unable to work in the application. Thread dumps are seen in the log file.

Root CauseA defect or configuration issue in the operating environment
This application is using asynchronous load of data pages extensively. Asynchronous data page loads are using work manager thread. users's environment this was set to 5 and Pega deployment guide suggests 20.
ResolutionMake the following change to the operating environment:
Increase the Websphere work manager thread count to 35 in UAT environment and did performance testing to make sure everything is good before moving the change to production.
