Attachment file name truncated after 60 characthers

Summary



When attaching a file with Drag and Drop or 'Select File' gadget, the filename is truncated after 60 characters. This occurs when using the Data-WorkAttach-File.pyUploadFile activity.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open any work object.
  2. Attach a file whose filename length is greater than 60 characters.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Navigate to the System Management Application (SMA).
  2. Under Advanced, click Virtual Rule Table Cache Management.
  3. Provide pxObjClass and pxInsID and reassemble.
  4. Navigate to the Rule Cache Management and clear the cache.
  5. Stop the Application server.
  6. Delete from the database records with the query delete from pr_assembledclasses where the pzclass is as 'ra_action_attachfile%';
  7. Remove the PegaRULES_Extract_Marker.txt file.
  8. Start the Application server.
