attachment name getting converted into $289$29



It is observed that whenever an email is received with attachment which contains special characters in the file name, it is getting converted into $289$29.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a flow using SendCorrespondence(OOTB) flow action.
2. Create a work object and add the attachment with name new().txt.
3. It gets converted to $289$29

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.In the activity Pega-IntegrationEngine .setEmailAttachments, the attachment name is decoded to correct the special characters using StringUtils.decodeCrossOSString()


This issue is resolved by hotfix item Hfix-21940.
