Attachment Type has two categories Email and Correspondence

Summary
In a scenario where in the email attachments increase then the other attachments like file and URL is visible in the grid below email.
Requirement is to sort the attachment categories so that file and URL categories are displayed on top of the attachments.

Steps to Reproduce
Create any work object and open the attachments tab. Observe that the attachments shown in Attachments are grouped by attachments tab with no option to sort.
Resolution
The explanation for this behavior is as follows:
The attachments are shown by execution of an out of the box report AttachmentListEmbed which groups the categories and there is no direct option to sort it.
Customize the attachment section and include two sections which show the non email attachments and email attachments separately helps in getting the desired behavior.
