Root Cause

Deprecated Autocomplete control used in Pega 7.2 for latest implementation.

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

In Pega 7.2 the configuration icon was removed on property level to discourage the use of deprecated controls.

Only old non auto generated controls(non px) supported passing parameters from property ruleform.

All the new auto gen controls(px) does not support passing parameters from property ruleform.

The parameters to new auto generated  controls can be passed only via section rules.

It is not a best practice to use the deprecated controls in Pega 7. However Pega provides backward compatibility for already developed features.

Use pxAutocomplete at section level, which is the recommended approach.
