Summary

User have an autocomplete with source as datapage.

The datapage contains around 28000 records. When user clicks on the down arrow the results are loading after five minutes and when user enters first four characters in the auto complete matching records are not displayed even though they are present in the data page.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Include a field in the UI configured as autocomplete.
2. Create a source as datapage having approximately 25000 results.
3. Configure options as Highlight match,Match start of string,Minimum search characters as 3 or leave it blank.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.

Resolution

Report definition has filter options which will help in reducing the number of records.

Hence it is recommended to use report definition as the source over data page if there is a lot of records involved.
