Automatic refresh of Grid View does not happen



Users observe that the custom portal home tab, which has a recent cases workbasket that has a refresh condition configured, does not get refreshed when the expected condition is met.

When this refresh condition is triggered, the section freezes (stops responding to UI actions), instead of refreshing.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Keep the auto-refresh workbasket in view and select to receive a case pop.
  2. Wrap-up the case.
  3. Observe the UI is automatically redirected back to the workbasket view. The section is not refreshed. Instead it is frozen with links not working.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.

The refresh when condition was simply a reference to a datetime property which does not align to the expected true or false values needed for an expression.


Perform the following local-change:

Update the refresh when condition to add "Changes" after the property of interest.

This expression will evaluate to true when the property of interest is modified.
