BIX Connection handle has been closed

Summary
When running a BIX extract with a large load that writes to an external database, an error is generated about the connection handle being closed while writing the manifest data, which is also written to the same external database.
Error Messages
ERROR - could not insert the row into pr_extract_details table. Writing the row data to logs : Connection handle has been closed and is unusable
Steps to Reproduce
Run BIX extraction that contains more than 2000 work objects
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. A connection leak was identified with a static variable used for a connection.
Resolution
Apply HFix-35242
