BIX Extract fails with an error in Production environment



Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) Extract fails in the Production environment with an error.

Error Messages

Could Not Process: PRRunTimeError". On Manual run, getting the below error.

No Instance found in the Database.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new Extract
  2. Run the Extract with an agent with a frequency of six hours

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. The Business Intelligence Exchange query to retrieve the Binary Large Object (BLOB) column requires more than 30 seconds for large volume causing timeouts. Initially, the Extract defaults to using repost pzSample which is internal or final and has a default timeout of 30 seconds.


This issue was reported as a bug to be remediated in Pega 8.1.4 patch release.
