BIX ExtractIdentifier and ExtractDateTime column not populated

Summary



User has a requirement where they need to populate two different embedded page lists to same Table in the Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) Extract defined for a Work Class.

To achieve this functionality user has created a DB Synonym for one of the pagelist properties.

When the extract rule is run in QA environment the BIX ExtractIdentifier and ExtractDateTime column in the Synonym are not getting populated. However, the columns are getting populated in dev environment as expected.

Steps to Reproduce



1.Create a BIX extract rule for a work class to populate DB tables.
2.Add embedded page list properties to the extract rule.
3.Create a synonym for one of the pagelist properties to be mapped against in the extract rule.
4.Run the Extract Rule.


Root Cause



There is a known bug with Oracle JDBC drivers with handling synonyms when using getMetaData to get the database table details. 


Resolution



User is suggested to add the connection property includeSynoyms=true to their datasource.
