Browser incompatibility issue with Pega 7.1.9

Even after using Internet Explorer 11, user is getting a message for browser incompatibility.

When user tries accessing it through SSO URL, in the first go user is getting the error.

After that when F5 (Refresh ) button is hit, it is accessible. Issue is seen only when accessing SSO URL.

Error Messages

Browser is incompatible.

Steps to Reproduce

Try login in though SSO URLs and see the error.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment the issue is reproducible when user runs the PRPC URL in compatible mode, as when they hit the PRPC URL for first time it is getting redirected to ntlm authentication provider and from there an 'adsso.xml' (which is being rendered in compatible mode as compatible with only Internet Explorer 8) is returned which is passed to siteminder site and again its getting redirected from siteminder to PRPC servlet and as the authentication markup is loaded with PRPC, it is rendering in compatible mode instead of 'Standard', hence user sees the ‘unsupported browser’ error.

User has to check with their siteminder team on NTLM authenticator which should not use compatible mode but Standard.
