Bulk process not displaying available actions

The Operator Access Group points to a particular Work Pool. The Class Group is inherited from another class group.
After logging in to Pega Designer Studio's Case Manger portal, on opening Bulk actions, the Case type from the work pool does not display.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Process several cases to reach the same action in each case.
  2. Navigate to Bulk actions > Process. Case is not processed.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules

The pxThread.pxCurrentWorkPool property points to the incorrect Work Pool value. Hence, pzBulkProcessing activity invokes the BulkProcessing report with the incorrect report class.

The pyDesktopType of the pyCaseManager or pyCaseWorker portal is set to Composite. In Code-Pega-Thread SetWorkInfo activity, the pxCurrentWorkPool property is modified. This is done only if the pyDesktopType property value in the portal rule is Composite.

Apply the following local-change:
  1. Create an PreSaveAs activity in the Rule-Portal class in the application ruleset. Perform a property set as below:

    Set PropertiesName to .pyDesktopType
    Set PropertiesValue to "User"

  2. Save As the existing User or Manager portal in the application ruleset (same ruleset).
 Alternatively update to Pega 7.3.1.
