Button Control incorrectly submits the flow action

Summary



After upgrading from PRPC 6.3 SP1, a custom button control incorrectly submits the flow action and moves to next assignment.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

1. Progress the flow to the custom control. 
2. Click the custom button control.
3. Observe that the flow action is submitted and the flow moves to the next assignment.


Root Cause



The form submission logic has been enhanced in Pega 7.1 versions to comply with the logic that the default action of the <button> control in a form is to submit the form. This was not the case in the PRPC 6 versions.

Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local-change:

Convert the <button> tag to a <input type="button"> tag.
