Can not create Operator ID

Summary



While creating an Operator ID record the following error appered on screen: "Quick CreateERROR: Save failed
.pyAddresses(Email).pyEmailAddress: Invalid value specified for pyEmailAddress.Value doesn't adhere to the Validate: ValidEmailAddress"

Error Messages



Quick CreateERROR: Save failed
.pyAddresses(Email).pyEmailAddress: Invalid value specified for pyEmailAddress.Value doesn't adhere to the Validate: ValidEmailAddress


Steps to Reproduce



1) Select Data-Admin-Operator–ID from class explorer
2) Click on New to create new Operator ID
3) In the Pop-Up window enter Operator ID name and click on create
4) Error appeared on screen


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. A validation rule in Smart Investigate ruleset is blocking normal operation.


Resolution



Override Data-Address-Email •pyEmailAddress (ruleset: PegaSI:05-04-80) and remove validation rule there.
