Cannot convert data tables to local data storage after upgrade



After upgrading to Pega 7.2.2, unable to convert data tables to data types with local data storage. The classes do not map to pr_other or any external database.

Error Messages

** Optimization cannot be performed for classes in this hierachy because of one or more of the following reasons : they are abstract or in a Pega shipped ruleset or mapped to either pr_other or an external table

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade from Pega 7.1.8 to Pega 7.2.2.
  2. Convert data tables to data types with local data storage.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

The database table mapped to the data table did not have the pzPvStream BLOB column.


Perform the following local-change:

Create the pzPvStream BLOB column manually in the database table.
