Cannot create declareindex for pagelist embedded in another list

Summary



Not able to create declare index for page list embedded in another pagelist in Pega 7.1.7.

Getting error "pyRuleDeclareIndex.pyPurpose: The name you entered is not valid".


Error Messages



pyRuleDeclareIndex.pyPurpose: The name you entered is not valid.


Steps to Reproduce



1) Select the pagelist which is embedded in another pagelist.
2) First create the declare index for outer pagelist. Declare index rules will be creates as expected.
3) Now create declare index for inner pagelist. It throws an error like 'pyRuleDeclareIndex.pyPurpose: The name you entered is not valid.'


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution



HFix-25561  resolves the issue.

Declare index and its corresponding tables get created with the usage of this hotfix.
