Cannot log in after upgrading to Pega 7.1.6



Update to Pega 7.1.6 from 7.1.5 using the steps documented in PRPC716_MaintenanceLevelUpdate_GUIDE.pdf.

Error Messages

Failed to compile generated Java com.pegarules.generated.html_harness.ra_stream_pzstudio_21bd8422fce63c53454fa760073e90ea: ---------- 1. ERROR in com/pegarules/generated/html_harness/ (at line 134) if( pzAuto.isOffline()){ pzAuto.enableCacheManifest(); } ^^^^^^^^^ The method isOffline() is undefined for the type IAutoStreamRuntime ---------- 

Steps to Reproduce

(1) Shutdown the JBOSS application server
(2) Ran to generate the ddl. Used to pass the arguments. Step completed successfully without any errors.
(3) Ran to execute the DDL and run the update scripts. Used to pass the arguments. Step completed successfully without any errors.
(4) Redeploy the WAR files from PRPC716 directory in application server /deploy directory.
(5) Deleted the tmp directory(Deletes extract market file also)
(6) Restart the server. Server restarted successfully.
(7) Enter user ID and Password.
(8) Once we click Login Button we see the errors.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is software use/operation error. The Pega 7.1.6 WAR file was not actually deployed after dropping it in the /deploy folder in the JBOSS structure.


The Pega 7.1.6 WAR file was redeployed and the problem was resolved.
