Cannot open Child Segment from within parent Segment

Summary



When dealing with a Segment that has child Segments, one must be able to click the small magnifying glass next to the child Segment name in order to open up that Segment in a new tab.

When clicking on the magnifying glass, however, user receives an error.

When attempting to open that same child Segment from the regular navigation bar, it opens with no error.

Failure opening the Rule Instance

Status - Fail
Operator - <your_operator_id>
Nodev- <your_node_name>

Information

Unable to open instance - Possible causes may be (1) Rule may no longer exist. (2) Availability of the rule may be set to No/Draft, Blocked or Withdrawn. (3) Circumstance of the rule may be preventing access. (4) Current date is not within the date range specified in the rule.


Steps to Reproduce


  1. Open a Segment which has a child Segment.
  2. Find the child Segment and click on the magnifying glass icon next to the name. An error will pop up in a new tab.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Ensure that the Prospect class in the system which is defined on the 'Manage Data Relationships' landing page in 'NextBestAction Studio' inherits from the main Customer class configured on the same landing page.
