Can't call data transform from property if control not inherited



In a repeat grid, the Auto-Generated control number prompts against the grid class context and not the section context from a refresh section action. When selecting a data transform for a refresh section action event in the prompted class, a validation error appears.

Error Messages

**your_datatransform doesn't exist or is not a valid entry for this ruleset and its prerequisites

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a repeat grid within a section.
  2. Modify a cell to reference an Auto-Generated Number control.
  3. Specify an onClick action event refresh section with a data-transform call. 
  4. Select the auto-population for the data-transform prompt against the grid class context.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
