Cardholder should be debited instead of credited



When disputing a credit transaction in Smart Dispute, the chargeback accounting should debit the cardholder. Currently it is crediting the cardholder. This should apply to VCR, Legacy Visa, MasterCard, etc. for both debit card transactions and credit card transactions.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Select a credit transaction to dispute.
  2. Process a chargeback and see the accounting performed.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Apply HFix-35123 to address the issue for MasterCard and Visa Legacy transactions.
For Visa transactions that are VCR Eligible, an additional patch called "VCR patch 3 Hfix" is expected to be available approximately mid-July of 2017 that provides the rest of the requested behavior.
