Case Id is not valid Error after Upgrade to Pega 7.1.7

Summary



After upgrading from PRPC 6.2 to Pega 7, the user is seeingan  error from the completeassignment aactivit.


Error Messages



Work object is not at current assignment, .

Steps to Reproduce


 
  1. Have a Main Flow with 2 assignments on it and on the connector have the flow action
  2. Call reassigntoworkbasket Pega Default Activity in post processing activity of flow action at first assignment to reassign the Work item to the Work Basket from Work list
  3. Now the Flow will move to the next assignment and link gets enabled if we have the work basket access to open the work item
  4. As the assignment key is changing from Assign-Worklist to Assign-Workbasket completeassignment is getting failed  you can see the Error : Assignment No longer existing in the current flow on click of the work item link


Root Cause



There is a problem with the design.

The post processing activity is changing the assignment. This bug was there in 62 but in pega7 we have fixed this bug. Because of that user started facing the problem.




Resolution



 The local change is to Call reassigntoworkbasket Pega Default Activity in pre-processing activity of flow action as first assignment to reassign the Work item to the Work Basket from Work list.
