Cell minimum characters validation fails when set to 1

SA-539

Summary

Developer wants to enforce that at least 1 character is entered into a cell. Doing this via minimum character cell validation does not work when setting to 1 character. It only works if we set this to 2 or more. Is this a known bug and if so is there a work around?

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Create a flow action/section with a cell and set the minimum characterss to 1 under the Presentation tab. Run the section and try to submit with only 1 character in the cell - no error is shown.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in customer application code/rules.
Using Minimum Characters here is inappropriate, and the recommendation is to use the "Required" validation to enforce this.

Resolution

Checking the "Required" checkbox in the validation form solves this problem.
