Summary

Property values that are updated in a modal window is retained after canceling or closing the modal window.

This occurs when the section containing the values is refreshed or the values get posted to the clipboard.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open a modal window and update property values (where there are refresh section or post value actions)
2. Cancel or close the modal window.
3.  Review the property values on the clipboard.

Root Cause

This is an expected behavior.  If property values are changed and posted to the clipboard then cancelling or closing the modal window does not undo these changes.

Resolution

This must be considered as a design consideration when implementing functionality in modal windows.
Avoid using refresh section and post value actions in modal windows, when the actions taken in the window need to be cancelable.
If manipulation of data in the modal window is required, then you must perform the operations on a copy of the data.
