Changing report schedule causes task to run immediately

When a report schedule is modified, submitting the change sometimes causes the task to run immediately, generating the report and sending new copies to all subscribers.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

1.Open an existing report schedule and modify it, for example add a recipient.
2. On submitting the changes, the scheduled task will sometimes fire immediately, causing the report to run and copies to be re-sent to all recipients.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Wrong format date was passed to formatter, which caused exception.

But this exception was getting swallowed, so next runtime was getting set to current time. Because of this emails were sent immediately.
