Steps to Reproduce

Try exporting a chart to PDF.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in customer application code/rules.

Charts are not exported to PDF, as the functionality is not available either in the PRPC code or the library. The charts are generated in 'SWF' (flash) and the activity that is generally used to generate PDFs is 'HTMLTOPDF' - and will only process HTML + Images.

The explanation for this behavior is as follows:

As of now, PRPC 6.2SP2 does not support this feature. However, if you want to include the chart as an image to the pdf document, you may want to create a “Summary View” report instead of a Report Definition. In Summay View, if you select “Chart Output Type” from the “Chart” tab as “Image” then it will include that chart image in the pdf document during the export.

Even latest PRPC doesn't support this feature.
