Chat client do not reconnect at node failure

Summary



Pega Chat disconnects when one of the servers stops working, and does not reconnect to the next available server. This occurs when Pega chat is installed on Load Balancers using Citrix NetScaler and enabled for sticky sessions using SourceIP as persistence mode. The Load Balancer manages two servers.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set up Pega Chat on Load Balancer
  2. Log in to Pega Chat
  3. Kill the process


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules where the event handler does not recognize node failure event.
